WHAT IS A BUSINESS FUNDRAISER?

Any company, local business, corporation, or any for-profit entity that wishes to take part in 401Gives can set up a business profile on www.401gives.org to encourage their employees and patrons to give to charitable causes in their communities. Piloted in 2021, business fundraisers inspire and empower their employees, customers, vendors, and stakeholder to give back to causes that are meaningful to them, learn about new ones, and spark friendly competition that benefits the community.

As a business fundraiser, your employees, customers, and other affiliates will be able to select your business’ name at checkout after making their donation. Their donation will then appear on your business’ page, and will contribute to your business’ goal for the event. Goals can be based on either a dollar amount or a percentage of employee participation.

Visitors to your business fundraiser web page will also be able to navigate to the organization search page right from your fundraising page, by clicking on the “Browse Organizations” on your own profile.


HOW DO I SET UP A 401GIVES BUSINESS FUNDRAISER?

Once your business fundraiser is set up, you will receive access to a customizable back-end dashboard where you can add your logo, goals, text, and optional pictures as well as see all of your supporters. You also have access to the Business Fundraisers Toolkit that includes incentive ideas, communication templates, and sample social media posts.
